When people RSVP "Yes" and do not show up it hurts everyone:
- It hurts your personal creditability when you "don't keep your word"
- It hurts organizers who may have difficulties to plan events
- It hurts restaurants/venues that either have to charge us more/throw the extra food away
- It hurts other members who may want to attend but cannot RSVP if an attendee limit is reached
To mitigate this issue "Three Strikes" policy is implemented:
Attendance is taken during our events and members (or their guests) who RSVP but did not come are marked as "no show".
There are only three "no show" allowed during a year (starting with the first "no show")
After the third "no show" the member looses the privilege to RSVP for our events for a year (except the events with no RSVP limits).
RSVP must be changed before RSVP deadline (preferably ASAP) so other people who are possibly on Waiting list could have an opportunity to sign up and plan accordingly.
Do not worry if you could not make a single event because of some reason. Nothing will happen unless you will have three or more "no shows" within a year.
