Hi wonderful Veg friends,
Share a two bedroom apartment in a beautiful co-op building! The HUB is an intentional community dedicated to cycling and sustainability. We often gather together for potlucks or other events and extend our reach into the surrounding community. All members are passionate and are activists in one way or another. We have a fully equipped bike shop in the basement as well as many, many bikes. You may be as active as you want to be in the community but it's not required to live here. I’m looking for a roommate to share a large two bedroom apartment. I live with a gorgeous, affectionate cat named Surya. The apartment has amazing light and air circulation. There is a very large kitchen/dining area and living room. Hardwood floors throughout and ceiling fans in bedroom, dining and living rooms. The bedroom is large enough to fit a king size bed. I am Vegan and would prefer a vegetarian/vegan. I shop in bulk through the Chicago Food Coop (along with my neighbors) for staples like flour, rice, beans, cereal, etc. We also get our produce through a CSA and we are in the process of constructing raised beds for growing food. I would love someone excited about sharing food expenses. I love to cook and don’t mind cooking for two (as long as you can wash dishes). If you cook, major bonus. I also welcome house-trained pets (surya lives with an awesome dog) as long as my kitty gets along with him/her. I’m looking for a non-smoker and any gender may inquire. Close to the pink line as well as #60 bus (runs all night). A short bike ride to Pilsen, Wicker Park, Ukranian Village, and Humboldt Park. Close to UIC as well. Rent includes internet access. On average with gas and electric, the monthly payment usually comes out to 600/month (not including food). Laundry is free and in our basement. Courtyard is free as well as the grassy expanse known as Marshall Boulevard ;o) Security deposit required. We can have a lease if you want but it is not necessary. Email me and come by to take a look! Looking for a December 1st move-in. Please only serious inquiries and please put "rent apt" in subject line of email so I know it's not spam.
