This meeting is a planning session for Chicago Veggie Pride Parade (CVPP). This is NOT a social event but a Management meeting for everyone who wants to contribute to make this event a big success. Anyone who would like to help us organize the parade is welcome to join us for this meeting. We are looking for energetic people to join Veggie Pride team to make this event as impactful as possible. Regardless of your skills, experience and talents, as long as you have a desire to make a difference, we need you!

The meeting outcome is to form the following committees:
Outreach Committee
- Finding the ways to reach broader audience and encourage the participation
- Producing promotional materials
- Distributing marketing materials
Technology Committee
- Administrating CVPP presence in Social Media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- Website development and maintenance
- Creating videos, photos and other electronic materials for more effective outreach
Finance Committee
- Fundraising
- Financial Planning
- Accounting
Operation Committee
- Handling logistics and licensing/permits for the parade
- Choosing the optimal time and route
- Creating map of the route
Executive Committee (represented by leaders of the above committees)
- General planning
- Overall decision-making
- PR and Media handling
Everyone on the team will participate in one or more committees and have some tasks to complete. The completion of the tasks will determine the success of the team.
The meeting will be approximately from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. After the meeting some of us may have an optional dinner. We have a lot to cover at our meeting so please be on time.
Can we choose what committee(s) we want to be on? I would prefer Outreach and/or Technology. Thank you!

Hi Vadim, thanx for the invite, it was good to talk to ya at the MonkybarGym HEART event this past Sat. This looks like an interesting event, and i would like to attend the meeting to check it out some more. Unfortunately I will be out of town.... Organizing against Monsanto GMO's etc.. At least for now keep me in the loop... I do have a lot of vegan irons in the fire, but maybe I can help out in some capacity... luck to you all...

Love to help out at some point, but I'm in a show right now and can't attend this meeting.
In order to be involved in the organization of CVPP you will need to be a part of at least one of the Committees (Outreach, Technology, Finance, Operation). Please use the event comment area to place your committee preference by the end of this Friday. If you don't have a strong preference or an idea of which area you might be the most effective or needed simply put your best guess. It would save us time on Saturday and will make the meeting as productive as possible.
Hi Vadim! I am willing to help wherever I am needed! As far as my skills and likes I'd probably be most useful on either the outreach or financial committees :)
Technology. I am willing to help out as needed on the other committees too (except for Financial Planning and Accounting - you don't want me doing those, believe me! :) )
Operations and executive committees are probably where I will do most good.

I won't be able to make it now. I would still like to be on my respective committee. Either Outreach or Technology or whatever you need me on. Keep me informed of future meetings.
