7:00 p.m. – Doors open at Pipers Alley
7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. "Forks over Knives"
9:00 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. Question and Answer Period

FORKS OVER KNIVES examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the so-called "diseases of affluence" that affect us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods. The major storyline in the film bases the personal journeys of a pair of researchers, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn. For more information: http://forksoverknives.com

This is not a typical meetup because we will not be socializing, but you can meet Mali between 7:00-7:15 to get a nametag so it will be easier for you to meet other ChicagoVeg members. You can meet Mali at the entrance to the movie room. An RSVP on this ChicagoVeg website does not guarantee you a seat, so please consider arriving early.

This film is a great opportunity to spark the interest of your friends and relatives who may not care about animals/environmental issues, but would care about their (and their families) health. Please come to empower yourself and invite your friends/family to educate them!

Oct 18, 2010 - Important Update:

We have just been notified, that due to the overwhelming response to this event, the sponsor, Whole Foods, has changed the attendee status from "first come first serve" to RSVP only. Therefore, if you have not already RSVPed to the Whole Foods email address [masked], there may not be seats available. We are communicating with Whole Foods about the possibility of additional seating. We will notify you if there are any further changes.

Oct 19, 2010 - Important Update:

Here is what we just got from Whole Foods:
Due to an overwhelming interest in this event, Whole Foods Market did take advance rsvps through Friday. At this time all extra seats available will open at 7:15pm. We suggest you get there early in order to get in line for the remaining seats. They will start the line around 6:30 for people who have not rsvp'd and received a confirmation.
