Veggie Fest 2010

We had really good time at Veggie Fest 2009 and we hope to enjoy it even more this time! Veggie Fest organizers are very supportive to ChicagoVeg and we will be hosting a booth at the fest. Admission to the festival is free. For more info you can visit http://www.veggiefest...

While we setup the meetup at noon so it could be easier for everyone to meet each other next to our booth, we also invite whoever can not make it at this time to come at any other time to our booth to say Hi and to hang out with us.

Also, if any of you are willing to help us at least for a little bit at the booth please reply on the following message board with possible time of your availability: http://www.chicagoveg... . Regardless if you can help just for an hour or for all day, your help will be greatly appreciated! It can be at any time during the festival which is from 11 AM to 8 PM on Aug. 7 (Sat.) and from 11 AM to 7 PM on Aug. 8 (Sun.)

Looking forward to see you at the fest!

The original email notification said "Veggie Fest 2009" instead of 2010. I corrected it on the event page but did not want to bother re-sending the email.

Does anyone know where i can find the full schedule for this fest? All I see on the website is the music schedule. Last time I went there were demos and workshops.

If the full schedule is not on their website then they probably don't have it yet. I would simply email to them to make sure they will send it to you ASAP.

Thanks Vadim! I signed up for their Mailing List so hopefully once the schedule is ready, they will send it out.

If anyone needs a ride from downtown/loop or nearby, let me know. I will be driving from the loop.

Hey Anish; I am locatedin Lincoln Park. Would it be possible if I can get a ride to this fest? We may fix a common place to meet. I have never been in Naperville.

Hi Bharat. I have to teach an early morning yoga class on Saturday morning and therefore unable to go blueberry picking with Raw group this Saturday, so would love to attend the Veggie Fest. I live downtown Dearborn and Ohio if taking the expressway... is there anyway I could grab a ride. If this does not work, I could meet you where it would be convenient. I would love to go to this Fest but have never been and do not know the people. thanks. and let me know. Sharon C.

Hey Sharon; Even this will be my 1st meet meetup too to get introduced to this group members. As mentioned under comments, I am getting a ride from Anish but we haven't planned for a meeting time and place yet. Today I dropped a voice message to Anish and probably after looking at his plans, he will answer to my and your comment. Tks. Bharat

Oh my gosh.. Bharat, sorry about that. I meant to write Anish... Again, my apologies... I can write Anish on here, but yes, if either of you could let me know, I would really like to attend the fest but yes would need a ride there and Anish was the only one that offered, which was very nice of him. Bharat, thank you!

Anish, not sure if you are reading these, however, if it would not be too much of an inconvenience, I would like to attend the fest on Saturday but would need a ride. Let me know what would work for you. I live Dearborn/Ohio, but I know Bharat lives in Lincoln Park, so I can be flexible if I have the time to take a bus there to meet you two... let me know what works with you if not too much trouble. Thanks Anish.

Just FYI: Whatever you posted in "Talk about this Meetup" section will be emailed to everyone who RSVP Yes for this meetup (unless they changed their default communication settings). Therefore it's the best to send a message directly to the person if you addressing someone specifically, unless you intentionally would like everyone read it.
By no means I mean it to discourage using "Talk about this Meetup" option but just would like everyone to know how it works and the best way to use it.

I need somebody to give me a ride back home from the fest, a little after 4pm on Saturday. I need to come into the city. Anybody?

Siri...assuming I am able to make it out there on Sat, I should be able to drive you back, I live in the Irving Park/Pulaski area.

    Dear friends,
I need a ride to the Saturday Veggie event. One caveat: I need to be back downtown no later than 4 p.m. I am willing to assist with gas and help pay for the parking.

    Thanks,

    -Scott

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the event and especially to those who helped us at the booth. Special thank you to Irma who organized schedule for volunteers and Mali who arranged food samples from Veggie Bite and Soul Vegetarian.

My thanks to Vadim for his tireless efforts and devotion in spreading the word, and to all the volunteers who helped in the tent. I met some wonderful people, and hope to see them again soon.
