Sharon, next door to the restaurant is their Juice bar and deli - lots of raw fresh squeezed juices and smoothies and some raw food in the deli case. It is separate paided from the restaurant. Don't know the hours for it on Sunday though. It should be open.
Sharon - Buffet would be with pretty much cooked vegan food but you can try following Kimberly's suggestion.
Kimberly - Thank you for your good suggestion!
Thank you both Kimberly and Vadim. I having been living pretty much 100% raw (to my knowledge and understanding) for the past month and a few weeks. I doubt I will be this raw for life, however, I wanted to be as much raw for a good 3 months. Then 50% is fine with me. So for this event, yes, I can do that Kimberly-- I will order there and join you all at the table. Would that work?
Thanks again both.
Hi Sharon, yes, deli is attached to the restaurant part so, you can bring your deli items into the restaurant. You just can't order deli items at the table I believe. Here is the menu:

Towards the bottom is the juice and deil menu. Raw items have one asterick. They often have specials for the week also that are not on the menu. Pineapple Surpreme smoothie was good! :)
Any suggestions on where there might be parking near the restaurant? I will be driving in from the suburbs and know that city parking can be a little tough to come by sometimes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)
Kristen, there is plenty of street parking in this area. You won't have any problems.
Kristen: The restaurant is pretty far from downtown, and you can usually find street parking on 75th street within momentary-walking-di
stance of the restaurant.
Kimberly and Mike - thanks for the feedback!
I'll be taking the bus myself. If any of you take the metra out here and would like assistance in navigating your way to the restaurant via public transit, holla at me, and i'd be happy to help.
How do you suggest going there from downtown via public transportation, Mike? The Red line or do you have better options?
Hello. If anyone is going to be coming from downtown and driving, please let me know. I would love to catch a ride. I would be happy to share gas money. Thank you.
I'll be passing through downtown. I can accommodate three people; easiest place to meet is by UIC.
Dave, thank you however, if I have to travel to UIC I would think I could just as easily travel to the restaurant. Thank you though.
Thank you, all of for your RSVP for our 1 Year Anniversary!
I will be very happy to see you all but I'd like to ask if any of you would not be able to make it, please update your RSVP as much in advance as possible so that others who are on the waiting list will have a chance to RSVP before the deadline and plan to attend.
I am wondering if any of you would be interested in make a video shoot of of our event and make a short video, similar to the one Sri did for Gill's Birthday at Soul Vegetarian last year: http://www.youtub...

It would be great to have it as another promotional video for our event like this one: http://www.youtub...

Please let me know (http://www.chicag...
) if you would be interested or know someone who would do it for us.
I'll be driving on I80 to 57, if anyone needs a pickup from the SW Burbs. Also, I was trying to feed my cats a vegan diet a few months ago and they didn't like the Vegecat diet. So, I have some Vegecat ph and VegeYeast left over that I want to give away. Anybody want it?

I'd like to know if anybody is going there from the downtown area and I can go along.
I'll be leaving from rosevelt & clinton.
I got permission from the restaurant to bump the RSVP limit to 55 to accommodate people on waiting list. Feel free to invite your friends to join us while sits are available. Please make sure you come if you RSVP Yes or change your RSVP by the end of the day so other people may take your spot. Thank you in advance for being responsible!
Dave, will you be able to pick me up at State and say 33rd street? I'll travel down to there and wait for you.
1. Please allow enough time to get to the restaurant due to Taste Of Chicago traffic on this Saturday.
2. If you address her only a specific individual, please consider sending an individual message to this person instead of posting it on the board unless you specifically wish for everyone to see it (and get an email if they RSVP Yes). It's nothing wrong with postings - just be mindful about it.
3. I did not mention about it in the event description but we will have some prizes to raffle ;-)
Anyone in north suburbs?
Arg, I got called in to do some stuff at work early tonight, so I won't be able to make it. The redline is your best bet from downtown, but if you have an hour or so to spare and you're around the south loop, the state street bus will get you closer, just get off on 75th street, and walk about 3 blocks east. The redline is a short walk. Though, there is some maintenance being done today:

Anne, I am in Prospect Heights. Want to go together? Lisa
Thanks everyone for the opportunity to speak and for the excellent questions. And thanks for a great event.
FYI, I have started a blog to highlight historical vegetarian recipes, advertising and ephemera (it's also a good place to get in touch if you have any questions or are curious about vegetarian history). You can find it at:

Thanks again for your participation and questions last night!

Special thank you to Adam for his interesting and informative presentation!
Just a quick note: somebody left sun-glasses, please email with description to claim them. Also, if you made any pictures please add them to this event page.
I am looking forward to see all of you at our upcoming events soon!
