Hi. Was wondering if anyone is driving from downtown Chicago to this event? It's not biggie since public transportation is the best... but just wondering. Let me know. Thanks. Sharon
I will be bringing a mixed lentils/beans curry- Indian style. Is anybody/will anybody bring white rice?
Hey everybody! I am sooooo looking forward to this event! I will bring a nice crisp romaine salad, if anyone can bring dressing?
Also, I am not driving. Instead we are biking...
I can make white rice. That will be perfect, Siri.
Awesome Seth. Do you know how much rice you can bring? I'll be bringing around a gallon of curry. It will go with twice that much in volume of rice. Not pressuring you to bring that much, just that if you know how much you can bring, maybe somebody else can supplement the rest.
I'm making hummos today, will bring some with raw veggies
Regina, per your request, I'll bring some dressing for your Romaine salad. Jeff
Thank you all for coming yesterday. I counted nearly 40 people, which is amazing considering it was cloudy and a touch cold! The food was incredible, people were friendly, and we actually had two volleyball nets up -- with both playing 6 x 6 games, for ! (.. in addition to some frisbee, and talking chatting). ... and we ended just before the rain started.
Pictures to be posted soon.
Look for similar events in July, August, and September! Hope to see you all there!
Mike
One more things.. when cleaning up, we found a knife. If you lost such, please write us with a description of the knife you lost.
-- Mike
I think the knife might be mine, diamond and ruby-studded handle... I wish! Actually, it's a serrated small knife with a wooden handle. Is that description accurate enough?
