If you love waffles, then come to the waffle extravaganza! I'm hosting a waffle brunch at my co-op! I'll be making three, that's right, three vegan waffle batters...lemon blueberry corn, pumpkin spice, and good ole' fashioned plain. I've got a waffle iron and I'm not afraid to use it.

To share in the festivities and help make this wafflemania awesome, please bring either or more of the following:

toppings -- get creative people: fresh/frozen fruit, preserves, whipped cream, syrup, ice cream, etc.
beverages -- juice, tea (I have a lot of tea but if you have a favorite brew, bring it),
other fave batters: if you want to bring a batter that you love, bring it. does not have to be vegan (as long as they labeled as non vegan),
more waffle irons (preferably electric): if you've got one, I'm putting you to work ;o)

Please let me know in your reply what you think you'd like to bring just so we don't have too much (can we really have too much whipped cream?) of one item.

If it's a nice day, we'll enjoy our waffles in my spacious courtyard.

hey guys, sorry to go back and forth but some members have voiced their thoughts on keeping the waffles vegan so I shall honor that. All the batter will be vegan and trust me, it's TASTY. I've tested it on omnivores ;o)

one more thing (for now). i live near California pink line, #60 bus, #94 bus, and not too far from metra (western ave and 18th). usually there is ample parking on the boulevard.

waffle update: the weather looks horrible so most likely will be indoors. if you are allergic to cat/dog, please know we will be inside. if you cannot make it, please change your rsvp so others have a chance to go. lastly, please bring a topping/beverage to share. any questions, feel free to email me ;o)

Sorry I wasn't able to make it guys - one strike for me! I had a celebration Saturday night for a friend's law school graduation and didn't get home until 4am. Needless to say I won't give you any additional details. Sorry to miss and hope everyone had a blast!

Sure I came for the waffles but met so many fun and interesting people. Sophia was such a great hostess and Dan allowed me to ride his tall bike. I got a chance to see the 'green roof' and meet other cycling enthusiats. It was all great fun.
