Chicago Green Festival 2010
Hope all of you can join us at the Green Fest (http://www.greenfesti...) this year. Last year was awesome, very educational and tons of fun. The admission price is $10 but we have FREE passes! You can download free pass for yourself here: http://www.chicagoveg... but you don't have to because we will print and will have a free pass for everyone who will RSVP. However, please let us know (in RSVP comment area) if you will print and bring your own pass so we don't need to print it for you and can save some paper!
Please use "Talk about this Meetup" area in the bottom of the event page to offer/ask rides and post any questions or comments. For the last minute issues (i.e. you can not find the group) you can try to call Kurt at [masked].

AlanIf you missed it today, try to go Sunday, May 23rd. - Consider public transit, Navy Pier parking is around $20, I think. My mind is pretty fried from all the stuff there was for me to look at. Several ways to get free/reduced cost admission, including the flyer posted on this Meetup. (My student ID worked, so I gave away my flyer.) There are quite a few food booths, but take your own (tap) water, there seemed to be just one drinking fountain. - #1 hit (for me) Chicago Diner's vegan gyros (WOW!) - I've been missing gyros from my past carne life; #2, one of the several "lighting" booths had a ~20' string of multicolored LED lights (color changable) that I think would be cool to hang from my bedposts as a reading lights. #3 Lots of Fair Trade items, I got chocolate, some jams and a bottle of hot sauce. - Sorry, I missed seeing anyone from ChicagoVeg (convention hall is huge), but did bump into a member of Suburban Chicago Vegetarian Meetup.

I just contacted Green Festival and here is the answer to Brenda's question ("to be extra green can I just take a pic of the flyer on my iPhone and bring that for entry"): per Alix Davidson (Green Festival Regional Director) "People can show us the free ticket on their phones."
If you have small screen on your phone or no camera/email capabilities - don't worry - we should have enough passes for everyone who RSVP and need it.
