This time we will watch a film and have a discussion about Genetically Modified Food.

Watching The Future Of Food (with permission by the producer) will be started shortly after 1 PM and will be followed by GMO group discussion.
Then we will have some socializing/networking... and will have some vegan food (donated by Loving Hut restaurant)!

Another 5 stars meetup! Thank you Hannah for organizing and all that testy food!

Excellent film, and it motivated people to have a detailed discussion afterward. People wanted to know how they might change their purchases to counter the monopolistic control by Monsanto of seeds and herbicides and their mistreatment of farmers.

This is an important subject and I am thankful to Vadim, Hannah and anyone else behind the scenes for putting forth so much effort to educate others.

Nice movie, good people and great surprise at the end (i.e. great food).

Very good film, even if I was aware of most of the issues, but still a good introduction for those that may not be in the know. I hope to see more events like this. The refreshments were very nice, too. Thank you for a great time, too bad others missed it...

I'm so happy to have attended this session. It was very imformative for a person like me who is attempting to make a lifestyle change. At the same time, it was very scary, considering we do not label for GMO in this country and no one in a position to do something about it, is willing to do something about it. My biggest concern, at the moment, is how to make food choices in the vegan world? What would you recommend I do to stay away from GMO food. The film spoke only of corn, wheat, soy and canola (which is in everything). Are there other foods to stay away from 7 years later?
