Vegan Thanksgiving Potluck Feast

This location is shown only to members

Gill invites everyone for Thanksgiving Potluck at here home:
----------------------------------------------
We are hosting a Save the Turkeys Potluck Feast at our home on Thanksgiving & would LOVE to open it up to other Veg*ns who also don't feel very thankful sharing the table with a carcass this Holiday season. Please feel free to join us and bring a Vegan dish to pass. If you want to bring a drum, too, for an impromptu drum circle or a poem or other reading or a song to share. Let's express our Gratitude in a communal, Cruelty free way. As an alternative to driving people can take the BNSF train from Union Stn to Rt 59 & we will pick them up from Rt 59 train station. Plus we will host couchsurfers if they want to go downtown with us the next day for the Fur Free March. Peace, Gill
----------------------------------------------
Gill asked not post her address so we will email her exact address to only those who RSVP Yes a day before the event. Feel free to email Gill directly for her address or any other questions regarding the event at [masked]

Alan - Thank you very much for the ride offer. As Gill mentioned in her previous post it's meat and alcohol free celebration so a beer, wine or any other beverages should be alcohol free. And it doesn't mean we won't have enough fun!

Many thanks again for Gill and Mark for opening their home and hearts to everyone. Thanks Vadim, our fearless organizer for his energy and continued efforts. It was a great evening of food and fun minus meat, booze and lame football games!

Exceeded all expectations as far as the food, but the people were the real great treat. It was wonderful to meet all of you and I hope to do things like this more often.

This was fantastic, Vadim surely must have met his dreams. People were very generous with food, in fact way too much food, which puts us par with the normal American Thanksgiving feasting rites. But these were far from the normal crowd. During the entire evening not one person inquired about where I got my protein from. The hosts Gill & Mark (oops) were very friendly and welcoming. Everyone seemed to be comfortable and enjoyed. We ended the evening with a drumming circle and all went home sedated and stuffed.

It was awesome to be celebrating this holiday with other vegetarians, vegans and raw foodists! It was really nice of Gill and Mark to host this gathering at their house. People just kept showing up and bringing more food and the conversation and company were great. I hope this happens again next year. It was the first time I could be at a Thanksgiving without meat!
